(About The Images)
1892-O and 1908-D, both AU details/cleaned. 1892-O and 1908-D, both AU details/cleaned.
Lot Title: 1892-O and 1908-D, both AU details/cleaned.
Description: While neither coin is ugly by any means, quick observation shows some glossy surface texture and trivial hairlines in the fields. Fortunately, both coins retain bountiful luster and will benefit from proper numismatic storage in an album. 1892-O has AU-53 details, while 1908-D would grade AU-55 aside from cleaning. Two coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

590The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$1,000.00
1892-O AU detail/PVC damage, and an 1894 AU details/cleaned.
Rolling luster benefits the value of the 1892-O, and details border on UNC, but the obverse shows definite signs of PVC damage, including a black streak on the neck, and isolated areas of...
832The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$650.00
1892-O VG, 1892-S VG, and an 1893-S Good details/damaged.
LIBERTY for 1892-O has at least part of every letter showing, which implies a grade of VG-10+. 1892-S has the equivalent of four letters, though it's reverse is actually a touch better defined than...
833The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$550.00
1892-O AU details/old, light cleaning.
Cleaning really appears only as a subtle luster shift across Liberty's cheek, as the coin at first glance appears fully original. This probably represents an incidental wipe more than any covert...
584The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$550.00
1892-O XF/lightlycleaned.
What appears at first to be a repunched mintmark turns out to be strike doubling at the lowest extreme of the reverse, with additional doubling seen on HALF DOLL. Olive-grey toning is settled across...
1121The Collector's Auction on 10/20/2006$160.00
Two Barber Half Dollars.
1897-O ICG Good-6 and 1908-S VF scratched. A couple of tougher dates to fill those holes in you set.
