Description: Cause for the PCGS code-98 ("damage") will not be apparent at all without a loupe, because magnification is required to see the multitude of tiny ticks that pepper the fields and likely lead to the assessment. The coin may have been carefully burnished long ago to lessen the unsightly effect, but regardless, an arm's length view makes it appear like a nice, original piece with multihued patina. (PCGS# 008172)
