Lot Title:
1929-S NGC MS-65.
Description:
Lovely, shimmering gossamer-white luster seems reminiscent of a high-grade Morgan dollar just plucked out of an album, with patina fully intact and undipped. Despite branch-mint status, both sides display remarkable sharpness, with the bison exceptionally well defined from the tip of his horn all the way down to his left hoof. This is a very desirable characteristic to find on a San Francisco nickel of the era. Four tiny brown spots spread out across the obverse, but they are microscopic and will not be noticed without a loupe. (PCGS# 003968)

A shimmering, shining GEM, the surfaces offer near-chromelike brightness and a delicate touch of toast-gold patina. Sharpness is decent and does not suffer the deficiency frequently seen in earlier... |
