Lot Title:
1872-CC XF.
Description:
Struck very early in the Carson City Mint's history, this dollar is scarce in all grades. From a tiny mintage of 3,150 pieces, this coin is a showstopper. It is well preserved and shows no real problems. Possibly cleaned many years ago, but it has toned over time, and all but a select few would view this dollar as original. If you still need this coin for your set, which is likely the case, now is the time to act.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

This is a bright white dollar with strong XF+ detail and no distractions. Original mint luster can be seen lurking around the devices of both the obverse and reverse, and it is a genuinely attractive... |
