Lot Title:
1903-O PCGS AU-58 (rattler).
Description:
Mintage: 112,771. Were the $10 gold series more collectable (read: if gold was not so valuable), 1903-O might be a key date, stemming from a low emission. Indeed, in stratospheric grade, examples are considered rare, but this AU-58 offers some of that low-mintage allure for only a very modest premium over truly common dates. This coin thoroughly gives the impression of being fully mint-state, perhaps net-graded due to some hairlines sweeping left-to-right across the obverse. (PCGS# 008753)

This New Orleans issue is suffused with a warm, rich orange-gold aspect. The contact marks are trivial for this specimen with generally sharp design elements. |
