Lot Title:
Twenty better Indian Head cents.
Description:
One expensive key comprises the bulk of the cost for this group, although several other dates will prove desirable to collectors. LIBERTY shows up well on the headband of almost every single obverse, and unless specified otherwise, no mentionable problems affect any coin. These are tabulated as follows: 1860 (VF), 1861 (VF), 1862 (VF), 1863 (XF), 1867 (VG-10), 1878 (VF), 1879 (VG-10), 1880 (XF), 1881 (AU with several small obverse carbon spots), 1882 (F), 1885 (VG), 1890 (VF), 1894 (F/reverse glue residue), 1896 (VF/obverse minor verdigris), 1900 (XF), 1902 (XF), 1903 (XF), 1904 (XF), 1908 (VF), and 1909-S (F). Fully one-third of a standard complete collection right here in this twenty coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
