A fantastic group of only $5 and $10 Canadian one-sided proof notes. These provide a nice documentary of the design process for the two denominations, with fronts and backs included and beautifully matched up. Briefly, each note is designated as follows: P-51361, Charlton-620-48-02-02, trial specimen of $5 front ADOPTED; same but date struck out and other minor changes; same but mounted and with "PRESIDENT" moved and uncorrected date; P-51361, Charlton-620-48-02-02, trial specimen of $5 back ADOPTED; same, but mounted trial specimen of $5 back ADOPTED; same, but printed in red UNADOPTED; different back for $5 UNADOPTED; different back for $5 UNADOPTED; P-51362, Charlton-620-48-04-04, trial specimen of $10 front ADOPTED;same, mounted trial example of adotped front; same as adopted design with cancellation holes; same except wrong date and "PRESIDENT" slightly moved; P-51364, Charlton-620-50-04, trial specimen of $10 back ADOPTED; same except printed in blue UNADOPTED; different back for $10 UNADOPTED; and different back for $10 UNADOPTED. An exception "look" into the inner workings of The Bank of Quebec from the earliest 1900s! (Available elsewhere: ten additional one-sided specimens.)
