(About The Images)
 Washington-Success Token, small P.E.. NGC AU-55. Washington-Success Token, small P.E.. NGC AU-55.
Lot Title: Washington-Success Token, small P.E.. NGC AU-55.
Description: Attributed as a "plain edge" small-planchet example, struck in brass and silvered at one time, as can be inferred by greyish coloration on the reverse. The "success medals" are thought by many researchers to be "spiel marke", or game counters, though there is no definitive indication of when they were actually struck. "Grade" seems almost meaningless for an item such as this; suffice it to say the surfaces are smooth, olive-gold, and the whole token entirely attractive. (Available elsewhere: George Washington signature, large-planchet success token.) (PCGS# 000789)
