(About The Images)
Twenty uncirculated 1890-S. Twenty uncirculated 1890-S.
Lot Title: Twenty uncirculated 1890-S.
Description: 1890-S is a much less common roll date for silver dollars, and the coins in this tube match up very well on the edges, implying that they are from an original roll. Virtually every piece within blazes with white luster except for a couple that must be end-of-roll coins. These should average in the grade range of MS-61 to MS-62. (PCGS# 007202)

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

Low Estimate: $1,100.00
High Estimate: $1,400.00

1890-S NGC MS-64 (no line).
An amazing strike almost brought up the full complement of hair curls over the ear, and corresponding sharpness at the eagle's breast feathers will please most collectors. Some attractive aqua colors...
916The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$400.00
1890-S PCGS MS-64PL.
The Nickel-To-A-Doughnut Collection. Stunningly attractive, with bold, brilliant white prooflike character that seems even more pronounced due to the deeply dished luster of the obverse fields. ...
791The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$825.00
1890-S PCGS MS-65 (green label).
VAM-33. The VAM guide suggests a lost "7" in the denticles, but either 9 or 0 seems a more commonsense choice. This gleaming white GEM displays the wonderful swoopy luster that the 1890-S is known...
784The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$290.00
1890-S PCGS MS-64.
White fluorescence beams gracefully from the entire coin, as if energized by an internal power source, and the brightness is magnified all the more by contrast with handsome rim toning. The overall...
630The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$320.00
1890-S Paramount MS-64.
Contrary to the usual Redfield coin, only a rudimentary offering of rim tone appears on the obverse, while the reverse remains steadfastly silvery-white. Adding to the eye appeal is surface quality...

1890-S Morgan dollar, NGC MS-63 DMPL
The 1890-S is generally an attractive issue, but in DMPL format, it becomes a prized coin for the Morgan specialist. The present example exhibits stunning visual appeal, with distinctive, finely...
