Lot Title:
Four silver commemorative half-dollars, all PCGS certified.
Description:
Every member of this commemorative quartet features quality undeniably strong for the assigned grade. One might be tempted to call this the "crescent toning" group, as the coins all feature just such a nice aesthetic accent somewhere. Included are: 1936-D Cincinnati (MS-63, stark white obverse, exceptionally vivid tone on two-thirds of the reverse rim, centered at lower left), 1936 Gettysburg (MS-65, nice rim tone at far right, with a touch on the reverse right), 1936 Long Island (MS-65, rim toning obverse bottom), and 1927 Vermont (MS-64, broad swath of toning on obverse right, with narrow toning on reverse right side). Four coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
