Not heralded as a key in the Barber dime series, 1905-O is nonetheless more elusive than one might anticipate, especially in superior grades. Exceptionally sharp luster revolves around the unseen axis for this platinum-grey example, subdued modestly by extensive and very original mint-set styled toning. Aqua-blue and cinnamon tones spray out across the obverse, with the reverse doused in dusky yet strangely very attractive powder-blue and lavender-gold. Extremely well struck and drop-dead original.
