Lot Title:

Complete set of Barber quarters minus 1901-S in a Dansco 7130 album.
|
Description:
|
Heavily upgraded, there are so many highlights that a complete listing of them will not fit here. Somebody has appraised the collection with grades written on included labels, and that person's grading seems reasonable. The very best coins are: 1892-O (MS-60), 1892-S (AU/cleaned), 1893 (AU-58 only, but with superb album toning), 1894-O (AU), 1895-S (MS-60/questionable color), 1896-O (VF/lightly cleaned), 1896-S (G-6, and outstanding), 1897-S (VG-10), 1898-O (VF/dipped), 1899-O (AU/lightly cleaned), 1900-O (XF), 1901-O (VF), 1903-S (XF), 1904 (XF, with pretty album toning), 1904-O (VF/cleaned), 1905-O (AU-58, and exceptional), 1909-O (VF/cleaned), 1911-D (VF/cleaned), 1913-D (AU-55), 1913-S (VG-8), and 1914-S (F). A sensational way to get plowed right into the thick of a really nice Barber quarter set! (PCGS# )
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
