Lot Title:
1833 (B-2) ANACS AU-55.
Description:
Surfaces are certainly too pale to be considered fully original, but only the obverse left field is much affected by wispy hairlines. Gunmetal-grey patina is a little denser on the reverse, but on either side, still permits cartwheel effect to remain visible, especially in protected peripheral areas. B-2 is famed for the extensive die rust on the obverse, which resulted in raised lumps on that side of the coin. (PCGS# 005352)
