(About The Images)
1921 PCGS MS-63 CAC. 1921 PCGS MS-63 CAC.
Lot Title: 1921 PCGS MS-63 CAC.
Description: Each side displays attractive pearl-grey patina that features additional overtones of subtle lilac on the obverse. Droplets of deep magenta-tobacco tone are arrayed around the lower reverse rim in enticing fashion. At this grade level, 1921 is the #3 key to the series (preceded by the other two 1921 issues), and exceptionally difficult to locate in truly choice UNC grade. For MS-63, this example has it all, including a terrific strike, just a bare minimum of abrasions down Liberty's torso, and delightful satin luster. What a great find for the collector of this popular series! (PCGS# 006583)

733The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$8,250.00
1921 NGC MS-64.
Wine And Dine Collection. One just never expects to encounter a 1921 half-dollar of this caliber and exquisite quality. Impressive visual impact follows from the presence of deep, thick yolk-gold...
868The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$3,300.00
1921 AU.
Roman Powers Collection. Slightly dull overall, possibly from a very mild old cleaning, but with noticeable underlying luster everywhere. A rather surprisingly sharp strike (for 1921) may be...
598The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$400.00
1921 PCGS F-15.
Absolutely perfection in dove-grey patina cannot possibly be improved up on at this grade level. Just as important, the surfaces are singularly free from any noticeable abrasions, showing just one...
838The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$500.00
1921 VF.
Brassy patina looks odd for a silver coin, and it is unclear whether PVC may have played a role in the coloration. That said, details are strong and obviously worthy of at least VF-20 consideration. ...
737The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$320.00
1921 PCGS AG-3, and a 1921-D PCGS Good-6.
At the lowest grade levels, early Walkers are tough to grade with high precision, and there is scarcely any difference in detail between the 1921, graded AG-3, and the 1921-D, graded G-6. The date on...
532The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$835.00
1921 PCGS VF-30.
An amazingly attractive and original coin that provides the most ideal dove-grey patina imaginable, as well as detail that is nearly perfect for VF-30. Skirt lines are nearing completion at this...
533The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$900.00
1921 XF/cleaned.
Pleasing definition suggests that this was a better struck key Walker at inception, with attrition of details through honest circulation being responsible for the details grade of XF/cleaned. ...
451The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$1,600.00
1921 VF.
This very difficult key to the Walking Liberty half-dollar series is so close to XF as to be painful. Perhaps on some days, it would be certified as such, but the eagle's breast feathers seem just a...
794The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$2,750.00
1921 PCGS Genuine.
Very modestly cleaned and retoned with great care, yielding an appearance that could almost pass for MS-62, though truly this is a slider AU-58 coin. Still, 1921 is THE legendary date in the Walking...
619The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$200.00
1921 VG-10.
Continually sought-after, this key-date issue has the second lowest recorded mintage for the entire series. A naturally toned, original example with an appealing silver aspect. The few surface marks...
657The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$340.00
1921 ANACS F-12.
This sought after key issue has a recorded mintage of a mere 246,000, the second lowest of this entire series. It is original and naturally toned, having a golden nuance over an antique silver...
658The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$320.00
1921 F-12 and 1938-D XF-45.
This pair of key date Walkers are a must have if you are working on a set. There is a 1921 that grades Fine and a 1938-D that is a strong XF.
1483The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$400.00
192- P, D, and S. VG, VG, and Good.
Three of the tougher Walking Liberty Half Dollars to obtain for sets, and coins that always seem to be in demand. The 1921 plain shows some long-ago cleaning signs. Still, these are three solid...
1484The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$1,350.00
1921 XF-40.
Original and naturally toned surfaces give an heirloom aspect to this key date issue. The surfaces are absent of any detracting marks or blemishes. A decently struck example for this grade. There...
622The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$625.00
1921 VF-20.
Being the second lowest production date (246,000 coined) of this series, it is a sought after "key" in any condition. Some minute rim bruises are observed on the reverse, but they are not overly...
