(About The Images)
1915-S Pan Pacific NGC MS-63. 1915-S Pan Pacific NGC MS-63.
Lot Title: 1915-S Pan Pacific NGC MS-63.
Description: Without a loupe, this Pan Pac half-dollar appears to offer strong incentive for upgrade consideration. The obverse will appear to be completely free from marks, with only a couple of minor ticks off to the right on the reverse. Closer inspection reveals a few more microticks on Liberty's arm, but also a limited number of spidery thin hairlines across the obverse, most likely representing slide marks. Bronze toning kisses the rims all the way around on both sides, but the coin faces up as mostly white. (PCGS# 009357)
Low Estimate: $575.00
High Estimate: $675.00

1915-S Pan Pacific NGC MS-63.
Evidently stored in its original vessel for decades, eagle-eyed bidders will note the circumferential ring present on both sides, evenly spaced a bit inside the rims. Aside from this, fragile...
532The Collectors' Auction 2013 on 10/18/2013$1,650.00
1915-S Pan Pacific PCGS MS-65 (green label).
Eunice Peters Estate. Examples of the 1915-S Panama-Pacific half-dollar often show abuse, and really nice specimens are difficult to locate, especially at the gem level. Not only is this a...
1316The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/26/2013$525.00
1915-S Pan Pacific PCGS AU-50, and a 1937 Roanoke NGC MS-65.
Rich, crusty olive-grey patina completely dominates the 1915-S Pan-Pac, and there cannot be the slightest doubt about the extremely original quality overall. For that matter, the 1937 Roanoke...
1056The Collectors' Auction 2012 on 10/05/2012$210.00
1915-S Pan Pacific, and a 1918 Illinois, both XF details/cleaned.
A pair of not-so-perfect commemoratives, these both have XF details and show evidence of cleaning. The Pan-Pac is especially pale, and album placement could benefit either half-dollar in this two...
1086The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$2,600.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. PCGS MS-66.
Variance in appearance for the famed 1915-S Pan Pacific half-dollar issue runs the gamut of extremes, from blast-white to fully toned. This memorable example adheres to the latter visual scheme, with...
287The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$500.00
1915-S Pan Pacific MS-63.
Sharpness and surface quality are compatible with a somewhat higher grade, leaving the MS-63 assessment to take into account greyish staining, mostly on the obverse. Nicely struck with booming...
271The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$575.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. PCGS MS-63 CAC.
The 1915-S Panama-Pacific was the first commemorative to display a branch mintmark, although they are believed to have actually been struck off-site on exposition machinery. Many examples exhibit a...
377The Collectors' Auction 2009 on 10/16/2009$350.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. MS-60.
Although luster for the Pan-Pac half-dollars is already a breed apart from that normally seen on commemoratives, that seen on this example seems a little dull, perhaps indicative of too many...
391The Midwest Summer Sale on 07/24/2009$1,050.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. PCGS MS-64.
Chrome-white surfaces are unclouded by the haze that sometimes troubles this issue. Though her portrait seems relatively unmarked, a pair of horizontal bag marks on Liberty's head must be noted.

1915-S Pan Pacific. ICG MS-65.
Moderate patina tends to suppress the luster to some extent.
1108The Midwest Winter Sale 2009 on 02/13/2009$550.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. NGC MS-63.
1915 saw the first commemorative coin struck at a branch mint, with San Francisco providing the honors with production of the Panama-Pacific half-dollar, and this fact probably adds to the popularity...

1915-S Pan Pacific. NGC MS-64.
The 1915-S Panama-Pacific commemorative half-dollar is notable for the peculiar field texture that is simultaneously pebbly and satiny, leading to a quality of mint luster unique to the issue. For...
1199The Collectors' Auction 2008 on 10/17/2008$1,000.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. PCGS MS-64.
Slightly deficient mint luster may be all that limits the grade, as this is a strikingly mark-free coin. A trivial patch of hairlines can be seen beneath the eagle's right (observed) wing.
1247The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$400.00
1915-S Pan Pacific. AU-58.

1915-S Pan Pacific. MS-62.
This coin came from an older type set and used to be housed in a green label PCGS holder. It was cracked out so the gentleman could put the coin in his book. Anyway, the coin is full of luster and...
