Lot Title: 1892-CC (reverse letter tripling) NGC AU details/obverse scratched.
Description: Each side remains almost fully detailed, as a good strike was followed only by light wear. Indeed, the reverse very nearly passes as mint-state, and AU-55 details is quite plausible as a technical grade. The "scratched" assessment by NGC is a borderline call, since the offense registers as a tiny squiggle beneath "2" in the date, and a pair of nearly invisible tiny digs next to the first star.
