Lot Title:
1883-S PCGS AU-58.
Description:
Moderate dusky grey patina dominates this coin and really imparts an "old gold" appearance that is often imitated, but seldom duplicated. It's a very appealing "look" that will appeal strongly to collectors who love "dirty gold". Two distinctive contact marks are embedded on the obverse, one next to the first star, and another next to the twelfth star, the balance of surface marks being tiny and unobtrusive. (PCGS# 008702)
