(About The Images)
Two 1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64. Two 1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
Lot Title: Two 1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
Description: One coin is really exceptionally well defined, especially for a 1908-D "no motto" -- an issue often observed to be casually struck. The other coin is no slouch either, and that places this duo a little above the average for MS-64. Examine facial features carefully and see if you don't agree! Needless to say, the twin luster is identically attractive for both. Two coin lot. (PCGS# 009143)

648The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$1,650.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
A vibrant yellow-gold radiates from the elegant lustrous surfaces that creates an eye-appealing cartwheel presence. Some scattered marks are observed beneath Liberty's outstretched arm, but these are...
1237The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$1,550.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS AU-58.
While the overall "look" is that of an UNC coin, PCGS skillfully detected slight rub on Liberty's bosom and knees. The eagle's breast feathers are lightly rubbed as well, making this the very...
1179The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$2,200.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-64.
Housed in a PCGS green-label holder, but the quality of this Saint is probably nearer the lower end of the grade due to a flat strike that has left Liberty's face "squashed". No single mark is large...
904The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,300.00
1908-D No Motto. NGC MS-62.
Sharpness is surprisingly decent for this particular issue, but as anticipated for the grade, each side is well abraded, particularly in light of a couple of erratic scratches in the eagle's wings.
905The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,250.00
1908-D No Motto. NGC MS-62.
About as heavily abraded as one expects of MS-62, though the pleasing dusky patina helps to attenuate the effect of surface disturbances to some extent.
1186The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$800.00
1908-D W/ Motto. NGC MS-62.
A glistening yellow-gold coloration enhances this specimen's intensely lustrous surfaces. Random minute contact ticks are perceived when utilizing a glass, with none being visually dominant. This...
1171The Midwest Summer Sale 2007 on 07/27/2007$3,700.00
1908-D No Motto. NGC MS-64.
Amazingly, this example was not ascribed at least MS-65. Its esteemed visual appeal is generated by a magnificent golden glow from its intensely mattelike surface quality. Maybe a minute tick or...
1060The Midwest Winter Sale 2007 on 02/09/2007$950.00
1908-D No Motto. PCGS MS-63.
Bright color and orange peel surfaces team up to give this coin a great look. There are minimal marks and no distractions.
1224The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$575.00
1908-D No Motto. NGC MS-62.
This is a solid MS-62 coin that is a shot MS-63. It has the luster and strike of an MS-64, but unfortunately has some marks. Overall, this is a very nice coin.
1225The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$725.00
1908-D No Motto NGC MS-63.
A bright St. Gaudens with rolling luster and strong strike.
