Lot Title:
Four colorfully toned certified Morgan dollars.
Description:
The toning is nothing short of remarkable for at least a couple of these, with each coin a common date within the Morgan dollar series 1879-S (NGC MS-65) displays immensely beautiful cobalt-jade, cinnamon-gold and vanilla-green tones in a stunning banded array across the obverse, mated to a blast-white reverse. 1882-S (NGC MS-65 no-line) sports a classic crescent of toning on the edge nearest the slab insert. 1883-O (PCGS MS-65) and 1884-O (PCGS MS-64) are similar in appearance, dominated by peach-gold patina and ringed by casual rainbow toning on the obverse, and astounding folded rainbow tones on the reverse. Four coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
