Two 1936 Elgin. PCGS MS-65 (green label). Two 1936 Elgin. PCGS MS-65 (green label).
Lot Title: Two 1936 Elgin. PCGS MS-65 (green label).
Description: Vastly different surface character instantly distinguishes these Elgin halves. One coin is rather heavily draped on both sides with lead-grey patina, although powerful luster defies suppression and still makes a strong statement. The other displays considerable brilliance, particularly on the reverse, with a couple of intriguing lines of tone intersecting across the portrait. Two coin lot. (PCGS# 009303)

1936 Elgin. PCGS MS-66 CAC.

1936 Elgin, and a 1947 B.T. Washington, both NGC MS-66.

337The Collectors' Auction 2011 on 10/21/2011$725.00
1936 Elgin, and a 1936 Lynchburg, both PCGS MS-66 (green label).
While patina for the 1936 Elgin is moderately heavy, it is rather surprising how powerful the underlying cartwheel effect remains, which assures the observer that this coin has loads on top of loads...

1936 Elgin. NGC MS-65.
