(About The Images)
1863 PCGS AU-50. 1863 PCGS AU-50.
Lot Title: 1863 PCGS AU-50.
Description: The dies clashed strongly at least a couple of times, with an outline of the wreath noticeable in front of Liberty's portrait, and an outline of her portrait particularly strong and doubled within the wreath on the reverse. Luster penetrates well into the fields, as would be ideal for AU-50, and there is definite wear on the hair curls, though details remain surprisingly strong on both sides. 1863 is one of the more common dates within the series.
