Lot Title:
Forty-five three-cent nickel varieties.
Description:
Dates are clustered toward three years in the earlier part of the three-cent nickel run, and needless to say, they are all attributed. They tally up as 14x 1867, 13x 1868, and 18x 1869. More than perhaps any other grouping in today's sale, there are several pieces that should qualify for at least AU consideration, if not a fully BU grade. For that matter, very few should fall below VF, with strong concentration in and around the XF range. Forty-five coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
