(About The Images)
1920 Pilgrim, and a 1936 Norfolk, both PCGS MS-66 (green label). 1920 Pilgrim, and a 1936 Norfolk, both PCGS MS-66 (green label).
Lot Title: 1920 Pilgrim, and a 1936 Norfolk, both PCGS MS-66 (green label).
Description: Strangely enough, the 1920 Pilgrim in MS-66 is scarcer than the 1921 issue, though that role is reversed in all other grades. PCGS has graded only 32 higher, and this example has crackling silver and gold toning across both sides interrupted by a fascinating area of oil-slick iridescence just behind the Pilgrim's head. The Norfolk shows moderate violet patina on the obverse, complemented by a mostly brilliant reverse with evidence of a faint tab toning pattern. A great two coin lot!
Low Estimate: $1,000.00
High Estimate: $1,250.00
