Lot Title:
Four silver commemorative half-dollars, all PCGS MS-65 (rattler).
Description:
A 1935 Connecticut and 1936 Elgin match up extremely well, because both are embellished by gorgeous powder-grey patina, carefully distributed over lustrous, 100% original surfaces. A 1924 Huguenot is also vibrant with strong luster, but an old dip failed to remove all the toning, and there is some evidence of residue. Lastly, a 1936 Cleveland somehow slipped past PCGS all those years ago while displaying glossy signs of an old cleaning, but a dabble of toning here and there at the border helps to downplay ill effects. Fortunately, most of the value here is in the first three coins of this four coin lot.
