Lot Title:
1940 proof cent, dime, quarter and half dollar.
Description:
Only the nickel is missing from this partial proof set, with those coins present all certified and accurately graded in NGC holders. The cent (PF-64 RB) is just a step or two away from full mint red, with tinges of handsome burgundy touching the obverse rim. The obverse of the dime (PF-64) is nearly white and the reverse slightly beige, with faint haze visible on both sides. The quarter (PF-67) and half-dollar (PF-66) are identically tinted with pale beige patina and likely were from the same original set. Four coin lot.
