(About The Images)
1837 VF details/surface damage. 1837 VF details/surface damage.
Lot Title: 1837 VF details/surface damage.
Description: A disclaimer for "damage" represents an attempt to maintain a conservative stance, since really, the numerous surface marks and abrasions are almost certainly from long circulation, and not any particularly malicious efforts. On a positive note, the interesting appearance is given dimension and depth by three levels of tone, including the usual medium-gold color on the devices, accented by deep sienna-tan toning, and traces of very attractive ocean-blue toning. (PCGS# 008175)

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

This piece's delicate rose-gold surfaces display a pleasing natural aspect. A few scattered contact marks and light hairlines are noted on this decently struck example.
