(About The Images)
1934-D PCGS MS-65. 1934-D PCGS MS-65.
Lot Title: 1934-D PCGS MS-65.
Description: Riveting luster immediately captures the viewer's attention, especially on the obverse, where outstanding three-dimensional quality is enhanced by vibrant rainbow tone thrust up against nearly the entire circumference. The reverse is almost completely white. Unlike many branch mint half-dollars of the era, the details were bestowed by a careful strike that has brought up even the separation between thumb and forefinger, and only the most trivial softness can be seen at the eagle's trailing leg feathers. Grading consideration must take into account a short, vertical pinscratch in the obverse right field, and a single contact mark in the eagle's feathers, but most collectors will certainly focus instead on the excellent overall eye-appeal. (PCGS# 006593)
