Lot Title:
1800 (B-17, BB-196, R.1) 12 Arrows. VG details/bent.
Description:
The "12 arrows" reverse has gained some traction as a popular commercial variety and commands a small premium over other common die-marriages, even though BB-196 is itself common (R.1). Heavy wear is apparent for this example, with small but rather numerous abrasions seen on the upper reverse. More importantly, the coin is slightly bent, which helps explain the irregular wear pattern. (PCGS# 006890)
