Lot Title:
1931-D PCGS MS-64RD.
Description:
1931-D is underrated by comparison to it's San Francisco counterpart, particularly with full mint bloom, as is seen here. The red brilliance is only a little subdued by deeper orange patina and barely perceptible streaks of citrus in the obverse left field. One single spot beneath "M" in AMERICA provides the sole obvious distraction, although Lincoln's portrait displays a half dozen minor ticks under magnification. (PCGS# 002617)
