Lot Title:
Nearly complete set of Standing Liberty quarters in a Whitman 9417 album.
Description:
1916, 1918/7-S and 1923-S are not included, but all the other Standing Liberty quarters for a complete set are housed in a well worn Whitman album. That means there are some much tougher coins available within, including 1919-D (F+ but likely dipped), 1919-S (VF), and 1921 (VF), which are all considered keys. That said, many of the other more difficult dates are also present in at least a grade of fine grades or better, giving them a significant premium in value over low grade quarters. Just a little persistence and effort are all that is required to turn this near-complete collection into something truly worthwhile. Thirty-five coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
