Lot Title:

Complete set of Peace dollars in a Dansco 7175 album.
|
Description:
|
Many times, complete sets of Peace dollars have weaknesses somewhere, but not so here. This is a hands-down terrific collection, and incidentally, there are five high grade slab inserts taped into the back of the album confirming such an opinion. Virtually every dollar is a blazing UNC, with the exceptions of 1925-S (AU-58/lightlly cleaned) and 1934-S, which is ex-PCGS AU-55. Additional highlights include: 1921 (MS-60 but seemingly dipped), 1922-S (ex-PCGS MS-63), 1923-D (MS-63), 1924-S (MS-62 and very close to the next higher grade), 1926-D (looks MS-64 but might suffer some counting wheel damage), 1927 (MS-63), 1927-D (MS-63), 1927-S (ex-NGC MS-64), 1928 (ex-NGC MS-63), 1928-S (MS-60), 1934 (MS-64), 1934-D (MS-64), and 1935-S (ex-NGC MS-63). Truly, an amazing coin collection. Twenty-four coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
