Lot Title:
1938-D Oregon. NGC MS-67.
Description:
It is remarkable how clean the surfaces are, with basically no abrasions at all, save a single tick at the Indian's elbow. Even the ribbing of the prairie schooner is practically free from marks. While neither side of this pearlescent superb-gem seems to be loaded with luster, the Oregon Trail halves are not usually noted for booming cartwheel action. In this case, the reverse is a little brighter than the obverse. Machine doubling can be seen on all four digits of the date. (PCGS# 009349)

This issue's exquisite silvery aspect is accentuated by nuances of russet and blue. The eye-appeal is amazing, and large portions of the surfaces are completely free from marks. |
