(About The Images)
1930-S NGC MS-66 FH. 1930-S NGC MS-66 FH.
Lot Title: 1930-S NGC MS-66 FH.
Description: Full-head examples of the 1930-S are not terribly rare, but it is next to impossible to locate coins with superb shield details, and this one is only a touch above average in that regard. However, the entire coin is endowed with prodigious, blast-white luster, and the surfaces are remarkably free from ticks and handling marks, lending credence to the MS-66 FH grade assigned by NGC. (PCGS# 005781)

1930-S PCGS MS-66.
1930-S has a reputation as a strike rarity, and even coins with a full-head designation almost always have mush in place of the shield. Remarkably, no such designation has been given this lustrous...

1930-S NGC MS-65 FH.
In the entire numismatic repertoire, a fully struck 1930-S may not actually exist, but the details for this example exceed the norm even beyond "full head" designation. Scant hint of the lower two...

1930-S PCGS MS-65FH.
Even with a "full head" designation, the 1930-S always comes a little soft, with this one perhaps better than most. The head meets reasonable expectations for definition, while the shield is somewhat...
