(About The Images)
1938 NGC PF-66. 1938 NGC PF-66.
Lot Title: 1938 NGC PF-66.
Description: Unbelievably pristine, liquid-white surfaces enjoy a remarkable amount of contrast for a Walker that has not been designated "cameo" by NGC. Coins like this simply beg for a new "light cameo" designation to be put into usage by the grading services! Liberty strikes nobly across her domain, nearly her entire portrait endowed with fine, matte texture, while the eagle displays contrast that is a bit less dynamic, but even more complete overall. The presence of a fairly strong monogram implies that the dies were not too old to impart powerful details, and that is indeed the case under a loupe. Beautiful coin, beautifully presented. (PCGS# 006638)
