Lot Title:
1928-A Star $100.00 Saint Louis. AU.
Description:
Fr. 2151-H Star. Superb for the AU grade, unmolested and virtually CU in overall appearance. The highly desirable light-green seal is vivid, bright and along with a low serial number (8803), help to make this already a technically appealing bill. But of course, being a "star" note puts this well over the top. Catalog value for UNC is estimated at $12,000, with this a no-question AU example.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1928-A $100.00 St. Louis. PMG GemCU.
Fr-2151H. They just don't come this "Gemmy" very often. The perfect centering and lack of handling signs will make some wonder why it wasn't graded even higher. |
