Lot Title:

Two 1946-S and a 1951 Booker T. Washington. NGC MS-66, PCGS MS-66, and NGC MS-65 (no line), respectively.
|
Description:
|
A reputation for mundane examples accompanies the Booker T. Washington series, but each member of this trio defies the norm, offering an unusually attractive level of toning. 1946-S is graded MS-66 by PCGS, and while dominated by golden-bronze patina, the obverse features a gorgeous, symmetrical distribution of speckled magenta and electric-blue tone on the obverse. A second 1946-S, also graded MS-66 by NGC, displays picture-perfect album tone on the obverse, with backdrop of toast-gold patina on both sides. Finally, a 1951 graded MS-65 in a no-line NGC holder is deeply laden with metallic violet and cyan tones, masterfully intermingled atop a canvas of carrot-gold and platinum. Three coin lot.

This is a really cool group of B.T.Ws. They are all bright white and problem free. None of the coins have any toning at all. They are all struck fully and are dripping with luster. |
