Lot Title:
Six PCGS certified MS-64 Morgan dollars including two PL examples.
Description:
Gleaming white (except as described) silver dollars are found in this gathering, all of them graded at the numeric MS-64 level by PCGS. 1878 8TF and 1878 7TF "reverse of 1879" start off the lot, the first having a somewhat prooflike obverse, and the second being incredibly well struck. 1879 has a sliver of copper tone along much of the obverse rim, 1887 is PL and a little hazy, and 1897 is also PL. 1921-S concludes the group with shimmering aluminum-white luster. Six coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
