Lot Title:
Twenty-six uncirculated Mercury Dimes.
Description:
A is for Apple, "J" is for Jacks, and if you were to count up all the letters in the alphabet, that would equal the number of Mercury dimes included here. Four are certified in PCGS green-label holders, namely: 1936-S (MS-65 FB), 1944-D (MS-64 FB), 1944-S (MS-65), and 1945-S "micro S" (MS-65). Uncertified coins are listed as: 1934-D, 1935, 1935-S, 1937-PD, 1938-DS, 1940-PDS, 1941-PDS, 1942-PD, 1943-PDS, 2x 1944, and 1945-DS. All of these are BU, and most likely easily average MS-64 and better, but it should be noted that a couple of pieces display minor PVC residue and require proper conservation. Cinnamon toasted Apple Jacks and a twenty-six coin lot -- both part of a well balanced breakfast!
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
