1806 About Good/damaged, plus three Capped Bust quarters. 1806 About Good/damaged, plus three Capped Bust quarters.
Lot Title: 1806 About Good/damaged, plus three Capped Bust quarters.
Description: No attributions are included for this quartet of bust quarters, so potential bidders are encouraged to look for their own treasure. 1806 is graded AG but is trivially cleaned and has a clip on one edge, though it is not clear whether it is a mint made clip. Three small-sized capped-bust quarters are additionally listed as follows: 1833 (VF/scratched), 1834 (VF/cleaned), and 1835 (Fine/obverse impact damage). None of these is abominable looking, but the problems are apparent for each member of this four coin lot.

This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.

1806 (B-9a)NGC VF-30.

1806 (B-9) XF details/damaged.
New World Estate. Some pewter-grey luster mingles with chalky grey overtones and provide the impetus for at least an XF details grade assessment. The referenced "damage" ascribes to a pair of sharp...
618The Midwest Summer Sale 2011 on 07/29/2011$277.00
1806 circulated/impaired.
A couple of impairments are minor, but aggregate sufficiently to require disclaimer. A light punch at the lower left shield slightly bent the planchet, causing a barely noticeable bulge at Liberty's...
475The Midwest Summer Sale 2010 on 07/23/2010$800.00
1806 (B-5, R.4) F.
Enormously appealing, the supremely original quality of this middle-grade bust quarter stems from perfect lavender-grey patina that evenly layers each side, contrasting perfectly with pewter-grey...
372The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,550.00
1806 "B-7". XF/bent.
Surfaces are a little glossy, undoubtedly from an old cleaning, though subsequent retoning has very adequately suppressed evidence of any impropriety. At first glance, this looks like a fully...

1806 Draped Bust, Heraldic Eagle quarter and 1806 Draped Bust,...
Seventy-five cents of vintage 1806 silver is to be found in this lot, comprised of lovely original coins. The 1806 B-3 quarter grades AG-3, and the 1806 O-116 half-dollar grades VG-8, despite...
458The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$875.00
1806 B-5 R5 ANACS GD-6.
B-5 was originally listed as a high R6 in Browning’s book, but many examples, especially lower graded examples such as the subject coin, have turned up in recent years, decreasing the rarity rating to...
