Description:

One die marriage, this example in a late die-state and evidently not struck on a host coin. Honey-brown patina submits to terrific cartwheel luster that confirms uncirculated status. Breen mentions a couple of hoards, and this coin could easily be a former member. Several tiny hits pepper the upper face, with a couple more on the throat, and all of these visually trivial due to toning, but a minor old scratch off the end of the bust is noted for accuracy. Sharpness is outstanding, with plenty of definition in the hair.
