Lot Title:
1894-O ANACS AU-50.
Description:
Modestly cleaned early on, but lightly retoned with golden-bronze patina that has settled atop the highpoints. Contrary to silver dollars of like vintage, the New Orleans strike for this half must have been quite acceptable at inception, since the stars have fully developed detail, and despite ten points of wear, Liberty still retains nearly all her original hair details.

A pale grey coin with copious luster on the reverse, some obverse dullness can be attributed to a mild cleaning that has made the fields a little too reflective. Sharp details remain barely affected... |
