Lot Title:
Seventeen Morgan dollars and eight Peace dollars, all UNC.
Description:
Seventeen uncommon Accugrade photo-certificates accompany this lot, everyone indicating "65" somewhere in the grade, and all were registered to "Security Rare Coins" in 1985. Despite the current reputation given ACG, these are all strong MS-64 to MS-65 coin except in a couple of cases indicated. The coins are listed as: 1878-S (only MS-63), 1880, 1881-O (prooflike), 1881-S, 1882-O, 1883, 1883-O, 1884, 1884-O VAM-6 (Top 100), 1885-O, 1887, 1888-O, 1897, 1898 (only MS-63), 1898-O, 1899-O, and 1904-O. Also included is a pair of Capital Plastics holders designed to hold Peace dollars dates 1922, 1923, 1924 and 1925, and average BU coins are enclosed. Thus, twenty-five coins altogether make up this nice group.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
