Lot Title:
Fifty-three Walking Liberty half-dollars.
Description:
Excluding from conversation a single coin that is a proof, these are without exception very nice Walkers, some grading as high as MS-65, and most of them exceptionally brilliant. A few bear signs of toning, and most are well struck for that matter. With no coin particularly noticed to grade lower than MS-63, dates only are listed as: 2x 1935, 1935-D, 2x 1935-S, 1936, 1936-D, 2x 1936-S, 1937, 2x 1937-D, 2x1937-S, 3x 1938, 1939, 2x 1939-D (one has toning bands), 1940, 3x 1940-S, 1941 (proof), 1941, 2x 1941-D, 2x 1941-S, 1942, 2x 1942-D, 2x 1942-S, 1943, 1943-D, 2x 1943-S, 2x 1944-D, 2x 1944-S, 2x 1945, 1945-D, 1945-S, 2x 1946-D, 2x 1946-S, 1947, and 1947-D. Fifty-three coin lot.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
