Lot Title:

1897-S NGC AU-58, and a 1915-S $5 Indian NGC AU-55.
Description:
Besmirched by the presence of grubby, filthy, soiled surfaces and crud, this pair of half-eagles is the stuff that dirty-gold collectors' dreams are made of, both in NGC plastic, no less. The 1897-S is graded AU-58 and exhibits greenish crumbs and sooty grime embedded in the details -- just about the polar opposite of a sterile, dipped-out gold coin. 1915-S is graded AU-55 and is befouled by smudgy greyish dreck. You want nitty-gritty? You got nitty-gritty, right here in this two coin lot. All employees are required to wash their hands prior to returning to work.
