(About The Images)
1919 NGC AU-55. 1919 NGC AU-55.
Lot Title: 1919 NGC AU-55.
Description: Lead-grey patina diminishes vitality to a minor extent, but suitable luster remains plainly visible beneath the layer of oxidation, supporting the AU-55 grade assessment. An odd shiny spot may be seen on Liberty's upraised arm, near the shoulder, and it is not clear whether this is a pollutant clinging to the coin, or a pinpoint dig into the surface. Aside from this one distraction, this half-dollar is free from significant marks or stains.
Low Estimate: $550.00
High Estimate: $700.00
Lot Status: Bidding has been closed for this lot.
Hammered Price: $725.00

607The Midwest Summer Sale 2012 on 07/27/2012$1,150.00
1919 AU details/cleaned.
Obverse details clearly surpass AU-50, and for that matter, the reverse truly appears to be UNC from a "details" standpoint, since luster rises up and through the central design elements. Sadly,...
643The Collectors' Auction 2007 on 10/19/2007$330.00
1919 VF-35.
So close to the XF level because it most certainly has enough detail to qualify as such. However, there are slightly too many tiny hairline handling marks on Liberty’s bust and torso that must be...
1481The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$340.00
1919 VF.
Full VF+ detail with even circulation and only the marks you would be willing to accept on a coin of this grade. It is no easy task finding this date, so your serious consideration should now be...
1482The Midwest Summer Sale 2006 on 07/21/2006$2,100.00
1919 NGC MS-62.
This magnificently toned specimen is bathed in an array of reds and blues that frame the enchantingly antique silvery toned central design elements. Any marks or flecks go basically unnoticed on this...
621The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/17/2006$525.00
1919 XF-45+.
This is a difficult to locate date in upper, less than Mint State, grades. The strike is strong for this date in the central areas of both Liberty and the Eagle, especially her hand. Some very light...
