(About The Images)
1944-D PCGS MS-68FB. 1944-D PCGS MS-68FB.
Lot Title: 1944-D PCGS MS-68FB.
Description: An extraordinary level of technical excellence is achieved by favorable convergence of the three factors most important to grade. Strike is exemplified by three sets of fully rounded and fully separated bands on the fasces, as well as terrific sharpness in every area of both obverse and reverse. Luster shines with shimmering satin radiance, borne out by exceedingly bold flowline texture. And preservation is as immaculate as expected of the MS-68 level, with utterly pristine fields, and the only marks being a pair of tiny ticks on Liberty's lower cheek. Both sides are subtly tinted with a hint of lavender iridescence, illuminated by a brief, arcing rainbow above Liberty's head. Tied for the highest graded 1944-D (population at PCGS is 17), an obvious registry set candidate, and a marvelous jewel just on its own merits.

If you were to line these coins one next to the other in the sunlight, there just might be a strong enough reflection to start a fire -- each example is that bright. Strongly stuck and flowing with...

Two 1944-D NGC MS-67 FB.
I know some of you people out there are working on more than one Type Set. Here are two super high grade Mercury Dimes that have Full Split Bands. Wouldn't they be perfect for your high grade sets?
