(About The Images)
1845 (N-5) NGC MS-62 BN and 1850 ICG MS-62 BN. 1845 (N-5) NGC MS-62 BN and 1850 ICG MS-62 BN.
Lot Title: 1845 (N-5) NGC MS-62 BN and 1850 ICG MS-62 BN.
Description: MS-62 BN has been judiciously applied each of these large-cents by competing grading services, with different reasons in each case. The 1845 N-5 large-cent is certified by NGC and has too many contact marks on the jaw to permit upgrade, while the 1850 is certified by ICG and has been brushed a bit to zealously on the reverse. Two coin lot.
Low Estimate: $400.00
High Estimate: $500.00
Lot Status: Bidding has been closed for this lot.

228The Collectors' Auction 2010 on 10/15/2010$260.00
1845 (N-1, R.1) PCGS AU-55.
Possibly submitted with expectation of a mint-state grade, since the value of an 1845 large cent at AU-55 doesn't seem to justify the cost of certification. A honey-brown example with unmistakably...
166The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$1,050.00
1845 (N-5, R.1) MS-63BN.
(Ex. Tom Reynolds, condition-census #3) Residing in Tom's distinctive yellow paper envelope is this 1845 N-5, a common type representative for the date. This coin features lovely lavender-olive...
167The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$160.00
1845 PCGS Genuine.
The "altered surfaces" indicated by PCGS Genuine-94 surely refers to recoloring of the slightly cleaned surfaces, but the overall appearance is quite decent. Maroon-violet toning has overtaken the...
168The Midwest Winter Sale on 02/12/2010$210.00
1845 PCGS AU-58.
From a commercial standpoint, virtually no rub distinguishes this 1845 large-cent from an uncirculated example. Rather, it is faint circulation marks lead to the grade. Sharply detailed.
