Lot Title:
ND St. Patrick Copper 1/2 Penny ICG F-12.
Description:
Obverse legends manage to remain completely on the planchet, at least to the extent that they remain intact aside from planchet problems, while the reverse sees the top margin falling partially off the flan. Details are appropriately detailed for the ICG F-12 grade, with some finer points lacking due to roughness in the planchet prior to production. The brass splasher is faint, but visible and nicely congruent with the crown, while overall color is highly acceptable for a halfpenny.
This lot may contain an item not certified by ANACS, PCGS, or NGC. While Scotsman Auction Co. is typically conservative in our descriptions of items not certified by one of these companies, we cannot guarantee our grading estimation will match their grade. We highly recommend that collectors seeking items certified by a third-party grading service only bid on items that have already been certified. No lot can be returned because of a variance in judgment with regards to grade.
