(About The Images)
1926-D PCGS MS-63. 1926-D PCGS MS-63.
Lot Title: 1926-D PCGS MS-63.
Description: Among collectors who enjoy original toned coins, the Peace dollar series is notorious for lack of suitable representatives. Far less popularity than what is afforded Morgan dollars means far fewer coins that spent time in albums, and it is difficult to assemble a full set of beautifully colorful pieces. Defying these odds is this very attractive 1926-D, graded MS-63 by PCGS. Lovely, tasteful album tone sweeps left of the date and over the top of Liberty's crown, providing an exquisite display of complex bands of color, including denim-blue, jade-green and cinnamon-gold tone. Just on technical merits, this would be a desirable piece, since the fields are clean, and only tiny contact marks pepper Liberty's cheek and neck.
