Lot Title:
1929-D PCGS MS-66FB CAC.
Description:
Vivid, mind-blowing violet and magenta-blue toning blazes off this stupendous dime, volleying bands of purple-haze luster all over the place as the coin is tilted under light. An unexpected burst of brilliant tie-dye amber-gold illuminates the upper reverse, like the sun bursting briefly through the clouds over Woodstock. The planchet seems to have been slightly tapered at the bottom of the reverse, since the date, and correspondingly STATES OF on the reverse are ill-defined, though sharpness is excellent elsewhere, leading to the full-bands designation. 'Scuse me, while I kiss the sky.
